That is why it is important to devote a significant portion of our time maintaining and improving our ‘house’ through exercise, diet, relaxation and active living." Kaleb enjoys working with special populations such as athletes, youth, those with injuries, chronic disorders, etc. Some of his focuses are on integrating functional exercise movements into activities of daily living, designing in-home exercise programs, and nutritional behavior modification.

 Robin Lewallen
P: 503-725-2942
E: clubsports@pdx.edu

BACKGROUND: For over 5 years she instructed martial-arts based fitness kickboxing for all levels of experience in Portland and Los Angeles - utilizing heavy bags, pads and proper technique. While working as the Program Director in a local martial art school she also instructed a comprehensive 10 week fitness program with resistance training, conditioning classes and nutrition monitoring. Her personal fitness background includes swimming, triathlon, weight-lifting and martial arts.

PHILOSOPHY: "I enjoy helping people realize their fitness goals at all levels; whether you're just starting out, getting back into it or pushing it to the next level. Physical fitness has played a huge role in my life and helps keep me balanced and centered. My philosophy on fitness comes from a mind/body perspective: the connection between physical health and mental well-being. Exercise is not only about the physical benefits, but provides a healthy outlet for stress and the confidence of feeling fit and strong. You can feel so good - and this is what I am excited to share with other people as a fitness instructor and personal trainer. Nothing is more important than prioritizing your mind and your body!"

EXPERIENCE AND CREDENTIALS:
  • National Association of Professional Martial Artists (NAPMA) certified Cardio-Kickboxing instructor
  • AFAA certified Personal Trainer
  • AFAA certified Group Fitness Instructor
